Why? Because I want to, that's why! Well that, AND because I thought it would be wonderful resource for myself, my husband, my children (down the road) and anyone else who cares.
Philosophy? I love food! Good food is SO good. Food sustains us; what we put in our bodies has everything to do with the way we feel. My goal is to teach my children to appreciate and enjoy healthy, delicious food. Quality, nutritious, (and locally produced, when possible) food is a big deal to me, and one of my top budgetary priorities.

Cooking Style? I don't measure. Anything. I steer clear of recipes -- I NEVER, ever follow recipes, it's just not my style. However, the other day while I was concocting my second-ever-in-my-life meatloaf, it occurred to me that I should write down what I was putting in it. I knew I was making it different than the first time I made it, but I couldn't remember exactly how I'd made it the first time (and it just happened to be a big hit in our house). And the idea for this blog was born.
Plan? Write down what I'm cooking, as I am cooking, every time I cook. We'll see how good I fare. Be forewarned, I DO NOT cook daily!! I love to cook, but being a busy mom of three LITTLE children -- the act of cooking (for me) has traded some creative expression, for functionality. Leftovers are my best friend. I try to make meals last more than one day, because it takes no more time or (very little extra) effort to make more.
